Overall, I'm very happy with this product. I bought it mainly because it was cute but it is also very functional. The volume is great, it is very much waterproof, and made a great Christmas present. My only complaint are the controls. One annoying thing is that there are on/off buttons on the outside, but unless you open the actual speaker up and hit the on/off button in there, you can't turn it on or power it off to save the battery. Also, the only other two buttons on the outside are + or - volume buttons, so all you can do while in the shower is turn it on/off or make the volume louder or softer. This speaker is pretty good. The sound coming out is loud enough (without distortion) to overcome the sound of the shower. The volume buttons work well, but I would like it more if it could directly control the iPod. I have a 4G iPod, which fits, but is a bit snug. It's only a slight irritation to have to remember to hit the "hold" switch when inserting the iPod (the cushions inside would otherwise trigger the pause button).
