I purchased the Yamaha NX-AO1 recently on a trip to Bangkok and was pleased with my purchase. The sound quality is excellent for a product of its size and dimensions. The optional bluetooth accessory was not available in Thailand. However I have used my Nokia BH-500 bluetooth headset,taken out the earphone card and plugged in the stereo cable supplied with the Yamaha speaker in its place. I then paired my bluetooth device with my Nokia phone which has a built in mp3 player and discovered that I can use the bluetooth feature on the Yamaha cube speaker, thus saving me the expense of purchasing the optional expensive bluetooth accessory for this cute cube spea …read full review

Very good sound for its size. It's definitely not cheap for what it is, but it does its job, compact and portable. Its perfect for when I have an audience at the PC where I usually use my headphones. And did i say it looks funky? ;D …read full review

BLOWN AWAY! Sound is excellent from this speaker. How did they do it? Them Japanese are CRAZY! Love this thing, if you look at the drivers closely and see how small the drivers actually are, you will be as amazed as me. Wait, am I feeling some of bass? What? I am tearing. I picked this up in the Bic Camera in Shinjuku Tokyo. After testing all the portable/semi-portable speakers I was completely blown away by the sound quality of this Yamaha A01. The A01 is like a large cube, probably in the size of your fist. There's only 1 speaker and the sound comes from 2 sides of the cube. But I gotta say, although $129 seems a bit much, this speaker will beat a lot of those so-called computer multimedia speakers on the market, especially the cheapo flimsy ones sold in the US. Granted, those come with 2 speakers and a subwoofer, but if you are thinkin about size and style (the piano white finish is just nice) this speaker is the way to go …read full review
