This is the best set of head phones I own! Compared to my sets of Beyerdynamic and even Audio Technica, the latter up to now my favourite, Denon beats them both. Smooth sounding, deep and rich soundscape makes Denon a pleasent experience. Light weighted and well fitting, nice looking and built of quality materials makes them worth to own. An upgrade for my audio park, no doubth. Recommended! …read full review

While I still like my other headphones, I find myself reaching for the Denon D2000 more than any of the others. I have used a number of quite reasonable headphones, but I was looking for something else soemthing a little more. After a significant amount of research. These headphones appeared to be suitable for what I was after. I received these headphones the day before christmas, but had to wait. As soon as I opened them on christmas day they looked and felt like a quality product. I simply couldn't wait to listen to them. As soon as I plugged them in and hit the play button I could tell that this was exactly what I was looking for. They have a v …read full review

Overall these are great headphones like everyone suggests. I prefer my AD900's a tad more but only because I have a pair of Grado's which I balance them out with. The D2000 is the best overall headphone. I'll start off with the weaknesses first. The midrange is slightly recessed and for me I don't like it but it's only slightly recessed. There is also slight sibilance depending on source but it isn't annoying by any means. The best part about this headphone is the bass. It is always there when you want it and never when you don't. I wish I could have the bass on this headphone in every headphone I own. The comfort is outstanding and you'll quickly see …read full review

I received these headphones within five days of placing my order, am really satisfied with the service. My first impression was that the bass was really emphasized and a bit bloated, rest assured this goes away after about ~12 hours of burn in, the bass now is well defined, and has nice impact, overall I think the bass reproduction is faithful to the recording. I do love the mids on these cans, the drums always sound clear, instrument separation is exceptional. The treble works well for me, it doesn't go to the highest of high frequencies but gets close. A nice balanced sound overall. I upgraded from a pair of Sennheiser hd-25's, the Denon's beat the Sen …read full review

received these 1 week after ordering, great service from audiocubes. Still burning my denons in, but all i can say is wow! The bass is amazing, so clear and it really has great impact, great details for my music. However, this phone doesn't really isolate well at all, but there is no sound leakage. Buy them, you won't regret it. …read full review

I recently purchased the Denon D-2000 headphone and realized in just a few hours of listening that this was an exceptionally good headphone. The Denon D-2000 headphone is very comfortable despite it being a little heavier than my previous headphones. There is very little "clamping action" and the headband is soft and comfortable. Construction seems very good although the fabric covered cable takes some getting used to. The sound quality of these headphones is wonderful. They have bass that is very well defined, extended, but not over done. I have never heard a drum set sound so real. Even the kick bass is well defined. The midrange is slightly recesse …read full review

I have had the Denon AH D2000 for a few weeks now and have had a chance to compare them to some of my other semi-high end headphones (Sennheiser HD650, Ultrasone Proline 2500) I feel at this price point most headphones are all pretty refined, but offer the consumer a different flavor. The Denon AH-D2000 has pretty decent low and high end, a little recessed in the midrange. It creates an easy to listen to atmosphere with plenty of impact full bass and a little sparkle in the high end. Nothing that causes listening fatigue. If you are looking for something a little more "fun" than your Sennheisers, but still want a detailed set of cans, the Denon AH-D200 …read full review

From the moment I saw these headphones, something about them made me want to buy them. I ended up buying them on a whim, hoping they would sound nice. They were, in fact, the best $300 I have ever spent. Truly amazing headphones, even moresoe due to the price. My only complaint is that the stock cable sucks, but taking the time to recable them really opens them up. All in all, they are impeccably comfortable, and just incredible sounding. I sold off several other pairs of headphones (MS-2i, A700, HD580) that I simply did not need anymore... this pair trumped them all. I cannot recommend them high enough. …read full review

I recently bought these headphones and have been listening to them for over a week now. I can tell you that these headphones are very comfortable, even for people who wear glasses (like myself). The leather pads are wonderful, the headphones are not heavy, and they don't heat up (for me at least). The bass in these headphones is great, I am listening to them un-amped through a x-fi soundcard and they sound great (equalizer in foobar is off). These headphones are very good for Ambient music, such as Gas and Legiac. Chorale music such as Paul Schwartz's "Wind Love (Pace Pace)" also sounds great. Highs and mids are really good as well, these headphone …read full review

I purchased these recently and have not yet fully listened to them at their full potential. I am listening un-amped from a computer x-fi sound card and ipod and the bass is not as punchy and tight as my SennHD595's. These in my opinion require an external amplifier to enjoy fully. build quality is excellent and they are the most comfortable headphones i have ever worn. The chord is easily tangled and leaves much to be desired since it cannot be wrapped up nicely. …read full review

The Denon AH-D2000 are very comfortable headphones and ruggedly built. My first impression is the warm midrange and non shrill silky smooth highs. The Deep Bass and Big Soundstage really delivers that "concert hall ambience" especially with new recordings like Snakes & Arrows by RUSH. A nice surprise for me as I usually associate that more with an open headphone. The great thing is these Denons will just keep sounding sweeter after burn in time! I give these Denons the "Best in Class" award for closed cans and they won't disturb your wife late at night. Don't worry you wouldn't hear her anyway.... …read full review
