The build quality is nice but I have to admit, my portable headphones look really silly sitting on these stands. Of course, the larger headphones look fine on them and th rounded top part ensures that there's no scratching. I like the idea of the headphone stand but was had thought they'd be shorter than in reality - it's somewhat tall and looks like a trophy or award. These stands, unsurprisingly, are perfect for any of the AT headphones with the dual spring steel cable design (the W1000, AD2000, D900, W5000, etc.) and for the smaller portables, such as the ATH-ESW9. As the picture shows, the curve of the top wooden section matches the curve of the headphone's headpiece, whether it's the dual cable supports of the large models or the padded headpiece on the smaller models. The acrylic clear section is long enough so that even the largest AT headphone is cleanly suspended above the base of the stand, preventing any issues with the cable getting fouled or bent at the bottom (that's a problem with other designs, such as the …read full review

Awesome build quality; acrylic and wood are sturdy (and beautiful). The W5000's fit this stand quite well. Nothing to complain about here. …read full review
