Although I am no audiophile these headphones have great audio quality compared to the others that I have. These are very comfortable and light and I absolutely love the retractable cord and the fact that the headphones fold. This makes the headphones about the size of my fist when I put them away which is very convenient. …read full review

Great I love them, more then a my old Koss headphones, I love the sound quality and how clear and loud they are because I brought a another pair that I had to return because no matter how loud I put the sound on my iPod they where never really that that these one are. Thought the bass I a little weak you can change your iPod a bit so that you can get some heavy bass with still the clear sound. I would never return them. …read full review

While the sound quality of these was fine and good, and the retractable cord was awesome mine snapped good within a month.
What happens is that if you take them off and on a lot, the cord in the left one will get stuck
if you continue to use them, and rotate them back and forth the cord will snap, as that's what happened to me. Maybe I just used them a lot harder than anyone else, but if it had not been for that these would have been great cans. …read full review

Unlike the others who reviewed this headphone, I have not encountered difficulties with the retractable cord.
The cord can only be retracted when the headphone is in folded position (the button is that little silver dot on the left part of the hinge) so it would not retract when you are wearing it, unless you fold the left part out so the red paint is against your face, thats when the button can be bushed and the cord retracts. Hope this is make sense :P
Sound quality is pretty good for the price, only thing I dont like about this headphone is that it press pretty tight against my head, and I have a small head, wearing it for a long period (2 hours) i …read full review

The Good: These headphones are very comfortable to wear, even for someone with a big head and big ears like me. They also sound great and are easily portable, which were my main priorities when I bought these.
The Bad: I was worried when I read the other reviews about the retractable cord, and for the first week that I owned them I didn't notice much problem. There's a button on the left headphone to retract the cable and that seemed to work pretty well. After a week it's gotten finicky though. You have to pull the cord out a few times before it will stick, the slightest bump or nudge can cause it to retract, and if it retracts while you're wearing it, it …read full review

This is an update to a review I wrote earlier for these headphones.
Although I still like the sound quality and feel of the headphones, I am getting annoyed at the retractable cord. The mechanism doesn't seem that great as there are times when I pull the cord and it takes a couple tries to get it to stay at a certain length without automatically pulling back in. Also, if the cord gets caught on something, it starts retracting, causing a loud noise while I'm wearing it that hurts my ears. Or if I place the headphones on my desk, it seems that sometimes the light force of placing it carefully down will cause the cord to retract.
Not sure if my problems …read full review

Quick bite: Good sound but pesky retractable mechanism.
This was a comfortable pair to wear and got its fair share of attention from friends. Sound wise, it had a good range of highs and mids but with a slightly weak bass. I guess Sony was compensating for the Mega Bass found on most of their audio players, forgetting of course that everything's not "a Sony".
Sony has put into this pair what is probably the worst design for a retractable-chord mechanism humankind has ever seen. I have actually been injured by it. Si ridicule!
The left chord has a tendency to snap back up, out of your music/media player, when you're adjusting the headband. In doin …read full review

I want the old design back!!! I purchased this pair of headphones as a replacement for a pair of EGGO phones that had been stolen. At first, I was excited by the new design, which is sleeker and built with less plastic than the old. However, I encountered problems with the cord, which is self-retracting. Often with frequent use, my cord would unlock and rip! craaaaaaaaaaaaaaank! the sound of the cord retracting would rush into my left ear. This, of course, was extremely irksome, especially since it would constantly occur, interrupt the music, and attract the quizical stares of bystanders curious as to what the odd noise was. I was surprised to find no other …read full review

Purchased a white one for the days I don't feel like jamming my Westone UM2's in my ears. These headphones are much more comfortable than my Sennheiser HD201's, and sound a lot better. They're easy to drive out of my iPod as well, which was not the case with the 201s. The retractable cord is a cool tool, but the cord is very thin, and feels very fragile, however it seems to be holdling up so far. Typical with sony's the headphones are a little clampy, but that should ease up over time. Very good value for your money with these headphones. They sound superior to the Bose Triports, and are very portable. Very glad with my purchase! …read full review

This is my third pair of eggos in the last 10 years. The others met with unfortunate and untimely deaths. The sound quality is pretty much the same as other eggos, an odd soundstage with slightly muffled mids. The design is excellent; thye look great, feel great and the retractable cord is really handy.
I'm fully satisfied with this purchase. …read full review

This is my second purchase from Audiocubes and I want to commend them again on their great service - quick emails and very fast shipping.
I owned the previous Sony Eggo headphones that this succeeds and I like the improvements made. While the previous headphones felt very plastic, this has a more substantial feel to the materials. The "cups" feel more solid and their is metal in the headband. Also, I love the red color option and the retractable single cord. It provides for a much more convenient experience.
As for the sound quality, there isn't much bass, but I think the headphones are fine. They probably would not please an audiophile, but for the ca …read full review

Kudos to Audiocubes for getting these shipped to the states so fast. The folding headphones are a great portable solution for those that commute. What drew me to buying these was the cable management system, ingenious. The sound is slightly improved over the eggo d22's, but just as the eggos, these lack a little in the midrange and the bass is not as refined as more expensive sets. For 59 dollars, these are a great deal, but you're really paying for the folding design and winding cable more than anything else. I wouldn't reccomend these for home use, either, as there are plenty of better sounding full sized alternatives. …read full review

Thumbs up for the very fast shipping from Audiocubes to Europe! And thumbs up to for my new Sony MDR-D333LW Headphones. They are lightweight and fit nicely (although my head is rather small) and the sound is improving day by day.
But I actually bought them because of the cord that is not strangling you like the other cords around since you just pull out the length that you need and the rest stays in and does not get caught by your bike, your jacket or whatever. Works fine for me!
And finally, if you like getting compliments of total strangers (i.e. other geeks;-) you should defintely buy a pair of these. …read full review

First things first, Audiocubes' delivery service is second to none... Especially with the online tracking, you know exactly where it is throughout the process.
As for the headphones, i'm extremely pleased. I'd previously had the MDR-D22s and i'm not disappointed. To be honest i found the D22s a little bit too light (possibly even a bit delicate), the D333 feel much more substantial and well made.
The sound from these are incredible, as said in a previous review, i can pick out little details from tunes that i'd never heard before. Sound quality is crystal clear even if it is slightly lacking in bass.
The self-winding lead is a nice touch, allowing …read full review

First of all, super fast shipping from AudioCubes.
Now, the headphones. So good so far. They are lightweight and fold down to a small size. The retractable cord makes traveling with these headphones even easier.
I'm no audiophile but I really like how these headphones sound. Everything comes out even and clear. However, the volume is a little low when compared to my in-ear headphones.
Lastly, styling. The shape of the cups are a little strange. It is thick on the top and tapers down. That doesn't show very well in the pictures.
Overall, these headphones sound great and are compact enough to take with you everyday. Best of all, no more tangling cords! …read full review

I was pleasantly surprised to find how quickly these arrived to the UK from Japan - less than a week after I placed my order. Top marks to AudioCubes for their service!
I really like the design of these headphones. They're pretty light and comfortable to wear (great for my commute on the bus). The self-winding cable is a great idea and the collapsable headband and folding earpieces ensure that they can be compact and easily stored away when not in use.
I found that they were slightly lacking in bass and sheer overall volume ( when compared to my cheap Sony "Street" headphones) but this is more than compensated for by how wonderfully clear everything se …read full review
