all in all a much welcomed improvement to sony's previous offerings in the same price range.
i chose to get them for a little more here on audiocubes because it was the only place i could find that was offering the LP version - short left / long right - so that the earphones can be draped behind my neck.
the sound is also an improvement. there's more clarity in the highs and more balanced in the other frequencies. i'm comparing mainly to the MDR-EX71's that became really popular. but on its own it holds up pretty well. not super awesome, but solidly 'good.'
