All round good buds. Fit is comfortable and secure. Sound isolation is fine. Sound quality is very good if not quite mind-expandingly brilliant. On an iPod touch 2G a flat EQ setting might not provide enough bass or clarity at the top end for some, though if you don't mind playing around with the preset EQ settings you can get a very detailed and open sound stage. A lot of Japanese consumer reviews rate the cheaper EX300 as better value for money, as they share almost the same internals. Perhaps accordingly the price of the EX500 has been falling.
