These outperform low end Shures for everything but classical/jazz. The isolation is excellent, the bass is deep and detailed, the top end is clear, if a little too loud and sharp. (Easily fixed with an EQ) These earbuds sound slightly 'hesitant' in the mid-range - they are a little muddy, quiet and will often miss details, while catching others. This comes through a little in string instruments and vocals. If you listen to primarily to Jazz, Voice or Classical, I would recommend spending a little extra.
Performance in mid-range costs money, so, If you listen Pop, R&B, Rap, or just a large variety of music, these earbuds are great performers. They easily …read full review

I bought these Audio-Technica earphones a couple months ago to replace the Shure ones I was using because they broke. I must say that the Audio-Technica ones are so much better, especially for the price. They a have nicer look, the cord is way sturdier and I also like the fact that it has an extension in case you want to connect a remote or if you just need to adjust the length of it. As for the sound, these have way more bass than the Shure earphones, but don't sacrifice a clear sound on the mids and highs in order to get it. The fit is also great, it was very easy to get a good seal in order to have maximum bass and noise reduction and they almost never po …read full review

I received these wonderful little buds for Christmas. After my first pair of Audio-Technica headphones i expected great things and these phones delivered. At first the treble was harsh and the bass wasn't present but after some burn in( about 50 hours) they sound much better bass is defiantly there but its not heavy. So if your a bass lover i would look for something else. Everything sounds very nice. They are the most comfortable earphones i have ever owned they sit in my ear very nicely. Also the noise isolation is good; on the bus i don't here the other kids talking with my volume 1/2 or 2/3 of the way up. If your looking for good looking good sounding goo …read full review

These are earphones with a most satisfying sound signature for the price: nice highs without sibilance, great mids, and there is also plenty of bass if you are able to obtain a good seal. Speaking of seal, you get the usual three sizes of eartips. The only downside is, even the largest ones are not quite as large as with other earphones - so if you have a wide ear canals (like me) you may have to look elsewhere for proper eartips! AT copied the new Sony body design (MDR-EX90) which provides better fit than older models, therefore these earphones are easy to insert and stay securely in your ears. The cord is a bit stiffer than on AT's older models (ATH-CK7) m …read full review
