Amazing! Simply Amazing!
I've always been impressed by Audio Technica's mid-range casual headphones, but the ATH-PRO700 are something else. First time I've tried them so called Pro/DJ/Monitor headphones, I was septic at first, and luckily, I was not dissapointed!
I take them to work every weekday in the subway - back and forth - and I can say the insulation is near perfect, even in a loud environment. The sound is still crystal clear, and the wide playback frequency range allows for some very deep bass-lines as well as flawless high-pitched noises.
The long twisted cord means no more yanking on the headphone jack/mp3 player connecter when you get s …read full review

Bought these after listening to some of the smaller DJ Headphones, and liked these a lot better. They're full headphones, sitting on the edges around the ear. They have lots of Bass, not at the expense of the rest of the frequency though. They do have a strong clamping force which may be uncomfortable to some, but because of this, they do a good job blocking out, outside sounds. They fold nicely for travel, and are easily driven by most all all MP3 players. Check out my review on Head-fi.org

I purchased the camouflage version of these headphones from AC a while ago. The audio quality of this unit is excellent and the bass response is strong. The speakers can produce a very high volume output, and distortion does not occur even at the highest levels... unfortunately for me, I blew up my headphones when I plugged them into my amp with the volume up way too high, so make sure you learn from my mistake and don't overdo it!
Prospective buyers should be aware that this unit is designed exclusively for DJ use, and are quite uncomfortable when worn for extended periods of time due to the firm headband. For casual listening, I suggest looking for anot …read full review

These are a good set of headphones. They feel light and adjusted to your head. The Dj style is very cool. The sound quality is 8 out of 10, compared to ATH 900. It has more bass and more power than the ATH 900, the difference is obviosly the clarity and smoothnoess of the sound. If you want to hear jazz, blues etc or watch movies then ATH 900 are selection for me since I have both. But when it comes to hard rock, trance, reggeaton those music that yopu would hear at a pub then ATH pro 700 are the selection.
Conclusion: ATH pro 700 are the ATH 900 audiophile quality for more intense music in which bass is a main playing factor. …read full review

I’ve received my ATH-PRO700 in Moscow, Russia after 12 days of waiting (I collected them by myself in EMS office, it was impossible to wait more).
Strongly recommended to everyone! Everyone who have not very big (small better) ears! I used them with laptop, psp and cowon player. While listening to the music you will be able to hear sound that you’ve never heard before! Fantastic feeling!! It’s good for trance, house music! But also for vocal (like il divo, for example) sound is crystal clear.
When I watched movies on the laptop in aircraft, I made volume 33% and it was good enough to feel like you sitting in absolute silence without any sounds outside, bu …read full review

I have to say, due to a combination of the previous review, and not knowing particularly too much about top-end headphones, I was a little skeptical about buying these; however I soon discovered that as far as music goes, I'm not just acasual listener. Long since wanting to buy better headphones instead buying the same, run-of-the-mill, cheap headphones with a sound quality to match, with a complete lack of style to boot, I knew I was quite simply in the beginnings of Audiophilesville. I needed more, so I took the leap, full well knowing that Audio Technica products come highly reccommended.
That was then, this is now, and I have to say, I am nothing but …read full review

good sound and build - but too small
I stumbled into a dj shop in tokyo last november and tried these on - and fell in love. They sound great, mids and highs are clear at high volumes, and the bass is solid but not overwhleming. The construction of these cans is beautiful - they look awesome, feel solid and are nice to touch.
i held off on the purchase - but tracked them down again in akihabara a few days later... i'm glad i saved the 200$ - and not because of the reasons mentioned above... but because i have BIG EARS. After wearing these cans for even a few minutes they became quite uncomfortable, pinching the tops & lobes of my ears. My ears are abn …read full review
