Firstly, lets get the beauty out of the way; this is a gorgeous set of headphones. In white, which is the one I bought, it looks very clean, very sharp, very modern. I also do not notice much issue with getting the polished end caps scratched or dirty, you just have to try and not eat dirty foods and smear your fingers all over them, which isn't very hard to remember lets face it. I bought the AT-HPP5 case for them and it's like a rock protecting these beauties, which also helps keep them safe.
If you want to discuss the audio quality, well to put it simply, they are decent. If i want good sound, I have the speakers at home, and although i wish this porta …read full review

I consider myself as a critical listener who wanted some *fun* factor from a headphone but still wanted the detail from a sound with mobility (portability), I've had experience with all kinds of headsets: AKG-K701, Sony/Sennheiser Studio Monitors, B&O ....etc. I hope this review gives detail info for all the buyers out there.
First Impression: 4/5 (Design,Looks)
After 50 hours of burn-in: 3/5 (Comfortability), 3.5 -_ 4~4.5/5 (Sonically)
DESIGN (4/5)
The Looks and finish on this headphone is simply amazing. The finish on the metal part + the headband is just superb, feels very sturdy and solid that I dont think it will break that easily. However, I …read full review

These headphones are absolutely amazing. They knock out all of the outside noise. I got a pair off of Amazon in the past and they are definitely a must have. The bass isn't as precise as I would like it to be, but good enough for the portability. a Great Buy …read full review

These are some of the best portable headphones out there. If you do not like the "Sennheiser Veil" and crave amazing mids, these are for you. I have compared these to the HD25-II which are in the same price range and though they were close, the ES7 did a better job in many ways. It was also not hit with the ugly stick many times. The ES7's are very pretty, but be sure to treat them well or it will be scratch city. If you find that you just love these, you may want to consider gettin the ESW9's which ar ejust an overall upgrade.
These are tough to beat and are only limited by the capabilities of your portable setup. I highly reccoemend using a line-out -_ p …read full review

These headphones are excellent, if you have a good player with large output to drive them. On players with smaller output, they sound kinda flat and boring, but on the ones with large output, they sound amazing and much more vivid. These headphones are well worth their price. …read full review

Asthetically pleasing, but overall, an okay pair of headphones...
The ATH-ES7 headphone has a nick name befitting of it's stature, the "Ear Suit" 7. This simple and elegant amalgamation of steel and plastic gives off a sense of ostentatiousness for those who wear it. With a mirror finish that gives off a candescent glow with even a minuscule amount of light, the ATH-ES7 draws attention to people with it's obviously eye-catching appearance. But beyond it's flashy or "Bling Bling" presence, the ATH-ES7 is a well-designed headphone. The pivot mechanism for the earcups does not give. That is, it does not wobble. The two steel heavy-gauge wires gives solid sup …read full review

These are probably the best looking headphones out there, but if you have a large head you may not be happy with how far the extension bars stick out. They looked fantastic on my profile, but a little silly head on. They wear a little tight on me, but the headband can be stretched out some (Im slowly working on them by giving them some time mounted on my PC tower.) The sound is better than I expected from portable headphones. The mids are slightly colored, but in a pleasant way. The bass can be a little heavy sometimes, which can muddy up the spectrum. Overall these are on excellent choice at their price point. …read full review

I bought a pair of these to replace my Sony MDR-D66SL Eggo cans which had died after about 2 years of constant use. While I did like the Sonys for their sound and comfy over-the-ear fit, these A-T cans do sound better. Smoother, more detailed highs and mids. There's lots more bass too. The ATH-ES7 does exhibit a fair amount of mid-bass exaggeration, but overall the sound is very pleasing. They also seem to be breaking-in rather nicely, achieving a little more open sound. The fit is not as comfortable as the Eggo's, but the soft pads don't hurt my ears, and they provide a bit more isolation than the Eggos. My iPod drives them quite well too. Recommended. …read full review

Good cans, but a bit expensive for the total package.
These phones are very attractive (I bought the silver with white and it really looks spectacular), they also have a nice, solid construction & good bass. But for the price, it's not for everyone, really more for someone who wants to be noticed in a crowd (If price is an issue, you might want to go with the Eggos over these). …read full review
