Neat little gems! For earbud or clip-on designs, they offer wonderful midrange clarity and top end. Good soundstaging from such small earpieces, but not as good as the other larger AT headphones intended for wearing indoors. For portables, these are hard to beat, and they may be the best clip-on design available if sound quality is important to you. The bass is there, but it depends very much on the fit of the earpieces to your own ears, so read any reviews of the bass performance with that in mind. There's vertical adjustment via the cips, and you can bend the wire support to increase the tension of the fit. Generally, the closer the fit the deeper the bass …read full review

HELLO
I've been waiting for 3 month until i post any comment about those earphones, because i had to use it before to say something, the ATH-EW9 have an incredible restitution of sounds, but not match with hip hop or heavy metal music, i think its really more for jazz, classic or acoustic music or the best to see videos.
Its an evidence for me that this headphones have not that much bass and sometimes it sucks, but i can ear things i've never ear before with.
it is really light, but its not a really cool system if you have glasses (like me)
ears not sweating when you have it during hours. such a paradox, but due to his low noise cut it's better to use in …read full review

These headphones have good and bad comments about it.
Firstly they have very nice sound quality they play classical and instrumental great. However if you looking for something bassy I wouldn't advise these.
Very comfortable I've had clip on before and these ones are far better can go for hours without my ears hurting at all. They're light and portable.
Based on looks I would say that they aren't as good as I expected. The wood looks like it is plastic and for this price I expected them to be very impressive. …read full review

PROS: Sexiest-looking headphones ever made; Clear, crisp sound under ideal listening conditions, especially in the trebles.
CONS: Weak bass; can't hear anything if there's street noise
I chose these both for looks and for the great audio fidelity I read about. They DO sound crystal clear, but only in a quiet room with classical music or any sort of "quiet" music. They become useless as soon as you leave the house, since street noise (I live in NYC) drowns out everything you're trying to hear. I could just blast the music to compensate, but sound leaks like crazy and I'd disrupt the entire block/subway car. Did I mention the disappointing bass?
So, these …read full review

Pros:
-Very good sound quality in the mediums and highs, open and detailed, nice stereo image
-Very light on the ears, very comfortable
-Comes with a really good heavy neoprene pouch that can contain ipod too
-high quality small metal jack (gold plated, but who's not)
-Nice wood housing
Cons:
-A little shy in the low spectrum when normally worn, can be enhanced if worn under a beanie (nice in wintertime)
-Do not stay on the ear when lying down on my back
-Very open, you hear all the environment noise (can be an security advantage while riding a bike)
-smaller than expected, can also be an advantage
Overall, happy about it, but a little bit pr …read full review

These headphones work great with my iPod Nano. The included case actually is a perfect fit so both the Nano and the headphones go into a pouch no larger than a sunglasses case! Anyways the audio quality is good but remember these won't isolate you from nearby sounds anywhere near as good as a closed, over-the-ear headphone will. …read full review

I have had these for a year now and I am still quite content with the quality. I previously had the B&O A8 earphones however they broke. These Audio Technicas sound quite a bit better however they can hurt if you wear them for too long. I have worn them for about 20 hours straight a few times and after about 7 hours they start to hurt my ears a little.
The open design means that stuff can fall in small holes around the top edge of the phone, this is not really a problem however sometimes dirt can fall in and make phones buzz. I generally fix this by blowing in the holes.
They do not isolate well but I wanted something that didn't so I was happy about …read full review

Super Light! Super Loud! They are definately worth the money! My only gripe is the cord connection between each earphone is in a fixed position & not adjustable like some other headphones. the extension cord could be longer but it is nice that u can just swap it out for a longer one. Now all i need a matching ipod skin to match the pimpin japanese wood! …read full review

I had the earlier version of this earphone. the old one was pretty good; its wire was too-easily tied. The pro for this one is that they used the "usual rubber" cord.
Also the quality of the sound was pretty good.
The cons for this one is that you can barely realize the wooden cap; also it's too pricey. I asked some other people about the cap, eight out of ten said it looked like it was made of plastic. Also compare to other ones, it's way too expansive. With this money, I can buy one more MD player...
But anyway, with its style and the quality, I would like to give 4 stars to it. …read full review

Ok to be completely honest I bought these clip-ons for their looks more than anything else. So you can imagine how happy I am to find out that they sound better than they look!
I was expecting the sound to be the generic clip-on type (light on the low end). But these put out bass. Now don't expect that they will shake your head because they just can't, but there is a solid low end to these beautiful clip-ons. Highs are crisp and the mids come through without and murkiness. Female vocals are wonderful.
As with all headphones of this type there is not much in the way of isolation, you will hear your surroundings. If you are trying to drowned out the cryi …read full review
