Bought this because I was interested in the bone-conducting technology. It worked exactly as expected, though it took some time to find the optimum placement of the transducers. Since I have middle-ear damage in my left ear, these headphones neatly sidestep the audio loss I experience with regular air-conducting headphones.
It turns out that the best placement is on the temple area just in front of the ear, so the head band is worn strapped on and over the ear area. This does not block out ambient noise, a good thing if you want to hear traffic, but bad if you expect any noise-canceling effect.
