I have to admit that I perhaps had too much expectation on this mp3 player, as a result of all the positive comments I read from the audiophile forums. The sound is indeed quite clean, but the bass is lacking. Even with my Ultimate Ears Triple Fi Pro-10 headphone, the music sounds rather distant and quite canny. I was hoping to improve the sound quality by playing around with the EQ a bit, but unfortunately with no success. And although there are like around 20 or so pre-set eqs, none of them succeeded in pleasing my ears. Kenwood's high end digital HDD MP3 player lives up to its expectations. This player is loaded with features and with a 30 GB hard drive, you have lots of space for your multimedia files. With a built-in high resolution 2.2 inch QVGA color liquid crystal, viewing pictures and animations is the best that I have seen so far on a screen of this size and the screen is also very bright. New digital amplifier produces crystal clear sound as well as smooth and powerful bass and for an HDD player, I must say that I was amazed with the sound quality.
