I just gave the SoundBall to my 11-year old for her birthday and was pleasantly surprised by the sound quality and volume. The sound is loud enough to fill her bedroom and the quality is decent considering that it's the size of a Jawbreaker. I expected it to be really tinny, but it's not. You're not going to get a lot of bass out of this thing, but the vocals come through loud and clear. I wanted something extremely portable that she could easily take to a friend's house with her iPod and this is perfect.
